Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

MEET THE NEWEST MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY!

Shranda holding her little miracle!

After over 24 hours of labor, a blood clot that went to Shranda's lung and an emergency C-Section, Kleyton Leo Whitby made his arrival yesterday, January 6th at 6 pm, born in American Fork, UT at 35 1/2 weeks and weighing 6 lbs. 15 oz and measuring 19" long. It's sobering to think that Shranda and Kleyton would have died over two months ago is she'd lived even 60 years ago due to her blood clotting problems. She's been on heavy duty blood thinners nearly the entire last trimester. Her water broke at 2:30 pm on Wednesday. Because of the blood thinners they couldn't give her an epidural or do a c-section immediately or she would have bled to death. They had to wait as long as they possibly could, poor girl! She finally started having chest pains at 5:30 due to a clot in her lung, so they inserted an umbrella like device in her neck to catch blood clots and performed an emergency c-section. She sure went through a lot to bring him into this world. I'm happy to say that everybody is doing fine now. What a blessing! Kleyton is healthy as an ox and mom will be getting out of ICU today.

My baby brother and his sweet baby. Matthew, the proud daddy!I can't wait until I can hold you Kleyton! My boys have been sick, so it will be a week or so before I will get to snuggle him. I'm so glad he's in my life and I look forward to getting to know this little man. Just think, another life to make an impact on this great big world. Think of all the possibilities.
(He looks so much like Matthew's baby pic)
