Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

VAMPIRES & ZOMBIES

I really don't know what it is with boys and gore, but I've come to believe that it's a natural attraction. Case in point, my boys. They've never seen scary movies, or played games with violence and gore, or seen pictures or read creepy books but they sure know about zombies and vampires. In fact about 4 months ago Logan watched a cousin play a game on their mom's iphone about zombies on the farm for just a couple minutes and it really scared him. Seriously, he came to me crying because it spooked him so much and then that night he had horrible nightmares about zombies coming out of the ground and munching on his leg! Yikes. I guess he's finally over his fear because he drew this picture Friday night:
"It's the red & blue vampire hero who fights zombies mom! See his gun, it shoots out and knocks them down. See, there's a zombie he just got that's laying on the ground, and another one is coming after him, and there's another one behind him coming up out of the ground, and still another one that's buried way down there in the ground. But he's not afraid, cuz he fights them all the time."
Wow. Lot's of detail. I love that his hero wears such a great hat and my favorite zombie is the one coming up out the ground with its hand in the air!

The boys chased each other around the house before bedtime playing Vampires and Zombies.Logan, the Vampire.........
hiding his face with his cape! (with Si behind him as a zombie coming out of the ground to get him)
"I'm a Zompie mom".................
"Coming to eat you!"Gotta love the tongue hanging out!
