Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

UNDERCOVER BROTHER!

"Sssshhh mom, look. I'm Spiderman in a disguise! I'm undercover and nobody knows where I am." I love that he tucked his mask behind his collar near his shoulder. Zoom in to see. What a funny kid!

KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS...........

Logan says to me one day, "Mom, did you know that Carson in my class lost his mind last night." I was already chuckling and I tried to keep a straight face because he was totally serious. "Really", I said. "That sounds serious, what happened?" "I don't know", he said. "He just said that last night he went crazy and lost his mind. And I don't think he's going to find it mom!" Ohh, that's my Logan. Hilarious!

I was making lunch and Silas walks into the kitchen and says, "Mom, you come here wight now and give yer little Siley some luffs. I need some luffin!"

While driving in the van Logan says, "Mom, can I unbuckle really quick to grab my drink, it's on the other side?" Before I could say anything Silas replies in a panicked voice, "No! No Logan! Dats dust too dangowous you could get hote. We luff you too much!"

I was tickling Silas and blowing kisses on his belly. I was making munching sounds and nibbling his neck as he was squirming and squealing. I said to him, "Ohhhh....I love you so much I could just gobble you up!" He stared at me for a second and said in a very serious tone, "But mom, you can't eat me! Den you won't have yoe Silas anymoe." LOL

While grocery shopping one day, Silas says "matter of fact"-ly from the grocery cart, "Ya know mom, when I gwow up, I'm gonna be an Enja Tootle. Yes I am!".....(Ninja Turtle....crack me up).

Logan says to me one day as I picked him up from school. "Mom, do you know what a stampete is?" I giggled a little and replied, "Ummm, I'm not sure. Why don't you tell me." He said, "It's when there are like 10,000 people on the other side and they are all running toward you and they will probably stomp you and squoosh you unless you get out of the way!".... Wow...where did that come from? How very dramatic!

IT'S NOT A JUICE BOX STRAW..............

This morning Silas walks up to me and says, "Look Mom, I'm Fwanklinstein."
"Wow! Yes you are. I like you as Frankenstein." I replied.
"Weo, I'm not dust Fwanklinstein but a DADDY Fwanklinstein, cuz dere da best!"
How many times can I say that I just love this kid! What an imagination, really!

THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE!

This is why I just love little boys! What fun they have with their imagination.

AMY'S HONEY-MARSHMALLOW BUTTER

(Right as I was taking the photo, sneaky Siley snuck a taste!)

(Photo sans grubby-chubby fingers.)

FOR ANDI:

1/2 c softened butter
1 c honey
1-12 oz jar Smuckers marshmallow ice cream topping
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Whip and serve. This would make cardboard not only edible, but taste completely delicious!

FROM THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS...............

Logan has had a "thing" for clyclops lately. He's Spidey-Cyclop.
He made a craft at school with googly eyes and decided that he "needed the eyes more because I want to be a two-eyed cyclops". He wore these on his forehead for the rest of the night....through the Dr. office, Wal-mart and McDonald's.
Another freezing snow day and another tent! The boys wanted to watch Cars, so we pitched a tent and had a picnic.
The boys love the fish tanks at Cabella's.
Hilarious! Love this picture. Logan looks like he just realized there is a herd of wild animals behind him....and Si is oblivious.
.....And he's out! Doesn't look very comfortable, but he was snoring soundly.
Silas holding his cousin Keegan and giving him some "cuddos and luffs".
Silas, Cohen and Kenna playing in the photo booth at the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi.
"Say Cheese"............

"Silas, it's time to go pick up Logan from school. Please come downstairs and get your shoes and coat on." 3 minutes later: "Silas we need to go. Come downstairs and get ready." 3 minutes later I'm on the hunt searching for him: "Silas, where are you? Please come out. I'm starting to get worried." I finally found him.............I followed the muffled giggles.............
....and of course, he was naked!
All the cousins playing Mario Racer for the first time on Playstation. Check out the looks of concentration. This was the first time my kids have played anything like this and I still haven't heard the end of it. Curse you Playsation!
"Mom, look at yoe cute Silas! I'm like daddy. I'm goin workin."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYSON!!!

While mom was in town visiting all the family gathered at dad's in Alpine. We celebrated Dyson's 6th birthday and since Andy's family was traveling from Wyoming I made Dyson a quick and easy centipede from cupcakes. The lemon cream cheese frosting was absolutely delicious, so I added the recipe below.

LEMON CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
4 oz. softened cream cheese
1/2 c softened butter
3 c. powdered sugar
3 TB lemon juice
Blend until nice and fluffy.
