Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

KRESTA'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!

I couldn't decide between a butterfly or this cute little farm scene idea.  I showed Jason a pic of each of them, and his response, "Oh my goodness, look at those cute little chicks. You HAVE to go with this cake." So how could I resist! The barn was simple. I just used a jelly roll pan and one cake mix and cut it to shape the barn. The rest is easy to see.
The pigs: pink frosting for the snout, m&m eyes and nose, fruit leather for the ears.
The sheep: white frosting to cover, pink for nose area, m&m for nose and eyes, marshmallows cut in half with gumdrops for ears.
Chicks: White frosting, with tinted yellow coconut, m&ms, triangle shaped gum drop for beak.
Birthday girl getting ready.
Poking the poor little piggie.
Tasting the frosting for the first time.

Quickly deciding it's definitely worth the mess!

Her first present!

Logan helping her out with the next one.
She's not really sure how she feels about Silas playing with her new toy.
Daddy giving the Birthday Girl kisses.
 Enjoying her new pony ride.
 Helping mom in the kitchen....
well making a mess is more like it.

What do we have here?
Oh...another instrument to bang and make noise!
But who could get made at those cute little chubby cheeks and triangle fingers!
She can help me in the kitchen any time.

BASKET RACE CAR DRIVING!

It's a given that almost every adult on the planet (who's mom does laundry, and let's face it, that's pretty much EVERY woman) has a picture of themselves as a baby cheering and cooing from inside a Laundry Basket Car. What is it about these pictures that just make you smile? Must be a reminder of our childhood. I have many, many memories of goofing around with laundry baskets, including racing my brother down the stairs of our house in Cokeville (I was 8). Luckily, no stitches were needed! I have pics of me at about one in a laundry basket, as well as one of Logan and Silas, and now Kresta.

PRINNY K IS GROWING UP TOO FAST.

This is what she's doing as I post these photos:
Such a precious little girl.
She reminds me so much of Logan at this age. I have to say that 8-10 months is my favorite time. She's becoming more independent, talking up a storm and her personality is starting to shine through.
Gotta be the cutest little cheerleader ever!
She was so darn cute that even the boys couldn't resist snuggling her!
Silas loves to make her laugh. It comes quite natural for him, since he is such a silly kid.
Christmas smiles! Even waking her up 3 hours early won't put her in a bad mood. Taking a bath with her cousin Brielle
Can you tell that she'd been crying for a couple minutes right before I took this picture? I was busy making dinner and she just wanted to be held. All I did was smile and talk to her and she immediately started beaming. She has such a sweet little disposition, even when she's mad.
Here favorite place to take a nap, on the jumperoo. Funny thing is, even those she's sleeping, she still bounces every once in a while. I need to get it on camera. Logan did the same thing as well.
Kresta looks a little concerned to be left alone in the hands of Silas! Don't get me wrong he loves his baby sister, but he's also Cycone Silo...and she knows it!

KRESTA'S ELECTROSTATIC PERSONALITY!

Can I say again how much I LOVE the camera on my iphone! If not for this camera I would miss out on so many wonderful pictures, like this:
Her hair was standing on end, almost 5 inches.
Envy....envy....envy, just look at these gorgeous eyelashes!

A NEW BALL FOR KRESTA

This is interesting.........
What is it for? My fingers.....
naaaa, my mouth! She started growling at me when as I was taking pictures. She was very concerned that I was going to take away her new toy!
These are the perfect balls for babies to hold. Her pudgey little fingers fit right into the small holes, and it's flexible and smooth. The best part, only $1 at the dollar store. Hooyah!

OUR LITTLE CHEERLEADER

It's a good thing I'm a Denver Broncos fan...and that I like hand me downs!
Got this this little outfit from Auntie Andi just in time for the football season.
She seems like such a diva.
"YOU call this orange!"
She was working it for the camera.
"I said I wanted blueberry flavored puffs in my dressing room, NOT strawberry people"!

She was so cute, even the boys couldn't resist snuggling her.
After a couple minutes of pictures...silliness entered the room.
