Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

WE HAVE A MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!

Now although it's true that Silas looks like his daddy; his hair, skin and eye color...he does have my mouth, nose, attitude, and love for good food! Gma Sharyn says he's full of piss 'n vinegar and his nickname is Cylone Silo, but he's a very passionate little boy; about everything from how much he loves his baby sister, to how he wants to beat up bullies, to how much he loves food, particularly cheese, hence the nickname "mouse". He appreciates good bread, sauces and cheese that most of the time are lost on Logan and sometime even Jason. He loves to help me in the kitchen anytime I'm cooking or baking or fidgeting, and often says how he wants to be a chef when he grows up. I love to see the light in his eyes when he tastes something delicious for the first time . He eats Indian food, food with onions and lots of exotic spices, extra sharp cheeses sauces, and hard and crusty bread. Take for example the picture below.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but you are looking at a wedge of Extra Aged 48++ Old Amsterdam Sharp Gouda. It's not a cheese for the faint of heart. It smells like stinky socks, but has the most amazing flavor, it's a delicacy to cheese foodies. Like mother like son. Silas snuck it out of the fridge, unwrapped it and began to eat around the wax shell. My own little "mouse" in my house, and I couldn't be more proud!
