Logan wanted a Rocket Ship to hold his Valentine's this year. I'm all about easy and what do I have on hand.
You will need:20 minutes and some good music (Rocket by Def Leppard)
1-2 liter soda bottle
(1/3 from the top cut around the bottle leaving 2 inches in the back so it will open and close to hold treats)
Aluminum foil to cover the bottle and make the needle nose
Silver laundry duct tape
(to attach the nose to the top and make a lock so it will stay closed. We had this on hand, but clear tape would work too)
3 small paper plates folded in half for the fins
Markers to color the fins
Box cutter to cut slices in the bottle to insert the fins
Clear packing tape to tape each side of the fin to bottle for extra support
Paper to make flames
(Logan's idea...he traced, colored and cut them out)
Stickers
Silas had to be in the "wocket picto too mom"
Blast-off!
