Insightful Vinyl For The Week
"Don’t be gloomy. Do not dwell on unkind things. Stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. Even if you are not happy, put a smile on your face. “Accentuate the positive.” Look a little deeper for the good. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life.” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

COUNTDOWN 4 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN!

HALLOWEEN PANCAKES WITH HOMEMADE BUTTERCREAM SYRUP.

We ate a pumpkin, haunted house, bat, witch, cat, half moon, and a ghost. (I just used cookie cutters)
***Buttercream syrup:
1 c butter
half pint buttermilk
2 c sugar
Cook over medium heat until butter melts then increase to high heat and bring to a rolling boil and cook for 2 more minutes. Take off heat and add 2 tsp. baking soda. ***Warning: when you add the soda the syrup will double in size so make sure to use a pot that will allow this.***

CREEPY CRAWLERS for an afternoon snack. It could be a praying mantis, or a spider, whatever your imagination desires.

MUMMY WRAPPED HOT DOGS for dinner.
The boys really liked these, and they were quick and easy.

BLACK CAT SKELETON for our veggie tray, with black bean dip.
Logan came to the table and said, "This is the super coolest dinner ever mom. Thanks!!" So worth it to hear that. When Jdub asked Si what this was he said, "ah kitty, skinny kitty."

MICE FOR DESSERT........chocolate covered strawberries with sliced almonds.
A complete hit!
