12/17/2012 SILAS'S PRESCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
What a cute Rudolph!
He was singing his heart out
Look at this face! Such happiness and anticipation to be sitting on Santa's lap.
Now look at Silas's face. Why so sad? Because Santa just told him that the Legos he was asking to get for Christmas were too expensive, and he might not be able to get them. Now, I'm not one to spoil my kids (he didn't in fact get the legos), BUT what kind of Santa bursts dreams of sugarplums a week before Christmas!
But here you go...have a cheap candy cane...Ho! HO! HO!
Logan tells me later that he knew it wasn't the real Santa, cuz the real Santa is much nicer than that Santa, but he is just too busy and can't be everywhere at once, so he has Santa helpers. That's why the Santa wasn't nice to Silas. Cuz he wasn't the REAL Santa. Besides, Santa has a real beard, not a plastic one! Smart kid. Silas felt much better after Logan explained this to him. His little heart was truly broken, and his feelings were really hurt. Oh that Santa is lucky there was room full of people....bad Santa!
She knew he was more naughty than nice!
12/14/12 PINKY TAKES A BATH!
Silas just happened to go into the laundry room as I was washing Kresta's favorite blanket, Pinky. Of course Kresta just happened to be right with him, and saw Pinky spinning and spinning in the soapy water. I missed the initial trauma. She screamed and clawed at the washer. Alligator tears and sobs. This is the aftermath:
10/31/2012 A PILOT, AN INDIAN WARRIOR AND A PINK MONSTER.....
No, it's not the beginning of a joke. It's Halloween!
Kresta lasted 2 seconds standing next to the boys.
Then she ran for her life!
A perfect costume to fit her personality!
She is the CUTEST little monster!
8/10/2012 KREST'S ON AND INTO EVERYTHING!
She's climbing, everything! I can hear her all the way downstairs. She's singing and talking and making quite a ruckus. I find her standing on a chair she has moved from the other side of the playroom. The mess around her, is of her making. Little hands into everything.
The moment I walk into the playroom, she immediately squats down. She knows better.
She climbs off and gives me a sweet little smile. Hoping she doesn't get into trouble.
She promptly moves to the block bin poking out from under the train table.
She thinks this would make a better place to sit.
I can stretch out my legs!
And have access to the toys.
What a sweet little girl. I can't imagine life without her.
