Tonight we hung the Candy Cane ornament. The Candy Cane symbolizes Missionary Work. It represents the Shepherd's hook, which represents our Savior's work here on earth, and how as the Shepherd, He gently guided straying lambs back to the fold. The color red symbolizes love and the sacrifice of our Savior's life for all mankind. The color white symbolizes His pureness and how through repentance and through forgiveness we can become pure as well.
For our family activity, we made a Santa Box.
We read Why Christmas Trees Aren't Perfect for our nightly Christmas story.
