After 11 1/2 years of marriage we finally went on our hot air balloon ride! It was for my 36th birthday, and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've had in my life. It was surreal to slowly float heavenward and then gently be suspended in mid-air 5000 ft above the world. The silence and cool air were replenishing to my mind, and watching the dawning sun sweep across the ground below chasing away the shadows, was enlightening to my soul. The world is good, God is real, and our life is but a tiny moment in the grand scheme of things.
